Common FAQ’s

Anchorage is home to 120+ miles of paved bike trails/multi-use trails. We will thoroughly go over trails and recommend routes you can take. However, our most popular attraction is the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail.  https://anchoragecoastaltrail.com

The average time to complete the round-trip (22mi/34km) trail at a leisurely pace is between 2-4 hours. The majority of parties tend to complete the trail within 3 hours. This is accounting for rest stops, pictures, water, brakes, etc.
If you’re looking to increase your chances of seeing wildlife and while also avoiding crowds, we suggest heading out on the Coastal Trail between 8am and 11am. This time frame is ideal as it coincides with fewer people on the trail, who typically arrive after lunch, thus reducing the likelihood of encountering crowds.

We offer a 48-hour refund policy with advance notice. You will receive a full refund if we are notified within 48 hours of the purchase. We cannot issue refunds for unused paid time if the equipment is returned before the reserved date.

Please anticipate the weather and wear the appropriate clothing for biking.
Summer
If you are sensitive to the cold, we recommend wearing pants and a sweater due to the coastal trail’s windy conditions.
Winter
We highly advise the use of insulated boots, proper winter gear, and winter gloves. Early spring temperatures will make the local trails slushy; we recommend footwear with water-resistant features.
Fall and Spring
While the climate may be cool, cycling speeds will add a cold breeze while coasting, numbing the finger tips and toes. We recommend gloves and warm footwear, along with a sweater and pants.
Upon being greeted, you will be asked to fill out a liability waiver, which requires one rider’s valid photo ID (e.g., driver’s license or passport) and a credit card in the same name. We will thoroughly go over trails and recommend routes you can take.
